MAINTAINING YOUR CO2 LASER

-Check the lubrication of the axes. The axes of the laser machine must be lubricated to ensure smooth and quiet operation. Check the lubrication of the axes every month and add lubricant if necessary.
-Replace the water cooling system. Every 3 months or so, completely drain the cooling water. While operating, the laser tube produces ions that accumulate in the water and ultimately reduce its life expectancy.

It is recommended to perform annual maintenance on your CO2 laser machine which will include the following tasks:

  • Cleaning the extraction turbine. Two to three times a year, completely dismantle the fume extraction system and clean all parts of the turbine, preferably using a high-pressure wash.

  • Machine Calibration. Calibrate the machine to ensure optimum cutting and engraving accuracy.
